Satan wants us to believe that it’s down to us to earn our own way to God and that our sin might be too great for grace. He loves us to compare ourselves to other believers unfavorably, become discouraged, give up and say “I don’t belong in church, I’m not good enough”. Like many lies, it works because it’s kind of true, but it is not the whole truth. Satan accuses, but God clothes us in righteousness.
