One of the themes of our series has been that God is (and has been) building a church where everyone can serve. Paul has left behind or lost many in his journey to build the church and has suffered in doing so, but perseveres in the knowledge that the Lord sustains Him. We experience the same to this day as we see much coming & going in our own congregation, for many reasons, but the word of the Lord stands firm.
